On Friday, February 13, Marist High School hosted the 3rd Annual RedHawks Take Flight, a dedicated day designed to officially launch post-secondary planning for our juniors in the Class of 2027.

With juniors on campus exclusively for the event, the focus was clear: helping students begin shaping their vision for life after Marist.

A Day Centered on the Future

The morning began with presentations from Marist’s College & Career Counseling team, equipping students with practical guidance on the college search process, timelines, and decision-making strategies. Breakout sessions throughout the day allowed juniors to engage more deeply in conversations about academic pathways, personal goals, and long-term planning.

In addition, 28 college representatives were present throughout the building, offering students the opportunity to ask questions, explore programs, and begin building connections with institutions across the country.

Real-World Insight from the Marist Network

The day culminated in a Career Fair in the main gym, where students connected directly with professionals representing a wide range of industries and career paths.

More than 50 Marist alumni and friends volunteered their time, representing over 35 different careers. From healthcare and engineering to business, education, law enforcement, technology, and the arts, the breadth of experience on display reflected the strength and diversity of the Marist alumni network.

For many juniors, these conversations offered something uniquely powerful: the chance to hear firsthand how a Marist education helped shape real careers and meaningful lives.

Investing in the Next Generation

RedHawks Take Flight is more than an event. It is a reflection of Marist’s commitment to preparing students not only for college acceptance, but for purposeful futures rooted in faith, integrity, and service.

We are especially grateful to the alumni and professionals who returned to campus to invest in the Class of 2027. Their willingness to share their stories, answer questions, and offer mentorship made a lasting impact on our students.

As our juniors begin the next phase of their journey, they do so with expanded perspective, stronger connections, and a clearer understanding of the opportunities ahead.

Faith. Family. Future.
