Tiara Patterson Named Head Coach of Marist Varsity Cheer

Marist High School is proud to announce the appointment of Tiara Patterson as the new Head Coach of varsity cheerleading. A dedicated and familiar face in the program, Coach Patterson has spent the past four years serving as Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach—playing a key role in leading the RedHawks to back-to-back IHSA State Championships in 2024 and 2025.

Coach Patterson brings championship experience and a coaching philosophy rooted in growth, unity, and high standards.

“Athletes thrive when they feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow—not just as cheerleaders, but as individuals,” she shared. “I want our program to be a joyful, motivating outlet that promotes resilience, teamwork, and pride in our school.”

A former collegiate cheerleader at Lindenwood University, Patterson is a 2021 NCA College Nationals Champion, a three-year National Cheerleading Association (NCA) Camp Instructor, and a proud member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Her dedication, leadership, and passion for the sport have made a lasting impact on student-athletes and the broader Marist community.

As she steps into this new role, Coach Patterson is ready to build upon Marist Cheer’s strong foundation and lead the program into its next exciting chapter. Please join us in congratulating Coach Tiara Patterson and our South Side Queens!
