Marist Proudly Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
At Marist, we are proud to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories and contributions of our Hispanic and Latino community. Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, we will come together as a school community to honor the many stories and experiences that shape our world, while recognizing the lasting impact of Hispanic and Latino individuals in our community and beyond. Through education, celebration and Family Spirit, we are proud to celebrate the heritage and traditions that enrich the Marist experience. Morning Announcements
Students in the Latinos United club will make all school announcements weekly sharing updates.
Hispanic Heritage Attire
Students may wear attire that celebrates and highlights their Hispanic heritage on Fridays from Sept. 18-Oct. 9.
In the Classroom
Spanish language classes will participate in various cultural activities throughout the month.
Latinos United Club
During Hispanic Heritage Month, Latinos United will take a field trip to the Chicago Historical Society Museum followed by Nellie’s Puerto Rican food. They will also host meetings and a Welcoming celebration.
