Marist Student Service’s Vision
The vision of the Marist High School Student Services Department is dedicated to ensuring excellence in the areas of academic success, social emotional growth and college/career readiness to inspire and develop lifelong learners who are resilient and respectful citizens thriving in a diverse and rapidly changing world.
Marist Student Service’s Mission
Rooted in our Marist faith and identity, the Marist Student Service’s Department is committed to providing a developmental, comprehensive counseling program for all students. Our program works collaboratively with each academic program within the school in an effort to ensure academic success, college/career readiness and social-emotional growth. We will do this by incorporating the Marks of a Marist Student – encouraging servant leadership, creating empowered witnesses, and developing agents of justice and service while making Jesus Christ known and loved in all that we do.
Career Education Program
Dear Parents and Guardians, We are thrilled to formally introduce our brand-new Career Education Program! Designed to guide students from their first day of high school through graduation, this comprehensive initiative ensures that every student builds the skills, awareness, and real-world connections necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving workforce. Our program will be structured to meet students where they are developmentally, scaling up from foundational career awareness to immersive, hands-on professional experiences. Below is an overview of what you and your student can expect as they navigate their journey with us. We are excited that your student will be a part of the development of this groundbreaking program!
School-Wide Highlights
In addition to grade-specific programming, we are excited to launch two major community-driven initiatives that will bring the professional world directly to our school:
- The Annual Career Fair: Open to all students, this hallmark event will host local employers, trade organizations, and corporate partners. Students will have the chance to network, discover summer opportunities, and practice professional communication skills.
- Skilled Trades Fair: The Skilled Trades Fair will strive to connect Marist students directly with local employers, trade organizations, and industry experts. It will be designed to introduce students to rewarding careers in industries such as construction, HVAC, electrical work, building engineers, mechanics, and other specialized crafts.
- Career Pathfinders Speaker Series: We are welcoming back outstanding alumni and additional speakers from various professional fields to share their personal journeys, offer mentorship, and provide insider insights on how to transition successfully from high school to higher education and the workplace.
How Parents Can Support
Career education is a collaborative effort. We encourage you to talk with your students about their gifts and talents and encourage them to attend our Career Pathfinders Speaker Series!
